What is your company’s story? What got you into the industry?

My background is large scale events where I used to plan events for clients to get media exposure such as launching The Palazzo in Las Vegas and working with Richard Branson on the unveiling of Virgin America.

During that time my friends started getting married and asking for help, which I found that I really enjoyed so after getting some experience under my belt took a huge leap of faith by leaving my job to wedding plan full time.

What is the mission or purpose of your company?

We believe that the wedding planning process can be just as memorable and fun as the wedding itself.

We take your vision and pair it with our expertise to create an inspired event that showcases how awesome you are as a couple.

At First Comes Love, we take a value approach to wedding planning. We know you are investing a lot of time and money into the day – so let’s work together to find the best wedding professionals to create your personal dream team – for whatever budget and priorities you have.

It is so important for you to be able to confide in us and tell us anything and everything about your wedding – we want our clients to feel comfortable with us, so much so that most of our clients become friends and we keep in touch after the wedding.

Describe your ideal client.

We know that you’re a busy couple, and that you’d much rather be sipping champagne at sunset than researching vendors or perfecting the wedding day timeline. You may have a specific picture of exactly how the day will look OR you may have no idea what you want, but either way, you know that we’re your advocate and wholeheartedly want to find the best value for everything you want to incorporate in your wedding. Bonus points if you love wine and to travel.

What is your favorite venue and why?

Scripps Seaside Forum – the views are unbeatable.

What is your company’s story? What got you into the industry?

In 2001, after a 13-year career with Disney where I created the west coast Disney Fairtytale Wedding program, I went out on my own as a wedding producer. I’ve been doing weddings at the best properties in the OC and all over ever since.

What is your company’s story? What got you into the industry?

Marni Farmer has been in the wedding industry for 15+ years, working along side photographer husband Michael Farmer of f/8 Studios. She looked around while working a wedding and realized that planning was something she would be very good at and also enjoy doing. 10 years later Marni and her team at So Smitten Events have planned hundreds of events and still get excited by what they get to do every day. With the goal of personalizing each event with impeccable style, So Smitten is committed to making your event a truly smashing experience.

What is the mission or purpose of your company?

Our mission is not only to take all the stress off of our clients during the planning process, but also to help turn their visions into a reality for their big day. We want our clients to have fun during their wedding planning and also be able to bring out their creative side so the whole process is a collaborative effort! How do you strive to be different from others in your space?

Collaboration is number one for us. We are not here to tell any clients what they have to have or do at their wedding. Each client is unique and we want their wedding to reflect that. We want to guide them through the process with ease so we can work together to create something that flows well and represents them as a couple.

Q & A with Cause We Can Events

What is your company’s story? What got you into the industry?

I started this company in 2012 in the hopes of producing events for causes; see where the name came from? I worked for a few non-profits, planned some yoga festivals and wonderful dinner galas, but I kept feeling myself being pulled more toward weddings. I loved the idea of being in nature and celebrating love under the stars. This is where I started specializing in adventurous, outdoor, destination weddings for couples who love to travel, wander and get inspired by nature. But don’t worry, we still get involved with non-profits as much as we can, donating after every event.

Describe your ideal client.

Our ideal client would likely be 1) Adventurous and willing to get their hands dirty; 2) Obsessed with fun, but are also decisive and responsible; 3) Open and willing to try new things; 4) Eager to create a memorable experience, but aren’t stuck on the details; 5) Not trying to top other weddings, but wanting the event to be personal, memorable and unique to their identities; 6) Understand the value of including professional vendors to ensure their event runs smoothly and safely.

What is your favorite venue, and why?

Under Canvas properties is one of our favorite venues because they combine both the great outdoors and luxurious accommodations. Guests can rent out the venue for the whole weekend and have a glamping wedding experience with their friends and family!
