What is the turn around time for my wedding videos?
Your highlight film and creative documentary videos will be ready to view and download 4-5 months following your wedding date (provided that you submit both pre/post wedding questionnaire forms).
What are “creative documentary edits” and how long will they be?
The creative documentary edits will consist of real-time edits of the ceremony and reception programs with all other events in between (such as morning preparations, cocktail hour, and dancing) edited in a creative manner. The real-time edits of the videos are not meant to be creative but more for an extended look of the day. The length of each edit will vary depending on each wedding. For example, if your wedding ceremony is 30 minutes in length, you can expect your wedding ceremony edit to be roughly 30 minutes or less. If your reception program is 1 hour long, your reception edit will be roughly 1 hour. The reception edit will contain only the main program of events (grand entrance, formal dances, all speeches, cake cutting, etc.). The other parts of the day that are in between the main program events will be edited creatively to music.
Can we get the raw footage?
Each of our packages comes with a full resolution video download. However, we typically do not provide RAW (unprocessed) files from our shoots because we believe in delivering a finished product. In fact, we’re often shooting with the end (post-produced) product in mind. However, you may request to have your RAW video files for an additional fee. Releasing the RAW files is left up to the discretion of the company.
Do you deliver DVDs/Blu-Rays?
We do not deliver our films on physical disc media. Everything is delivered digitally. That way, you do not have to pay taxes on the services. However, clients may opt to order DVDs and Blu-rays for an additional cost.
Can we pick the songs for the videos?
Yes and no. Picking the right score/soundtrack for your creative film plays a huge role in the creative process when putting your wedding film together. To make the best possible wedding film, a lot of time and effort is put in just to research what types of scores and sounds will best match the mood and emotion of your wedding day. Also, Lin and Jirsa is unable to use music for which we are unable to obtain a license agreement. However, we can provide you with specific websites that grant licensing rights. There, you may choose music for the creative documentary videos. Please note that the music selection must be done before the edit begins. Otherwise, additional editing fees will be incurred.
What equipment do you use to film weddings?
We use many cameras ranging from Canon 5D Mark III’s to Canon C100s and Sony A7s; along with a variety of professional grade lenses to shoot your wedding. We use stabilization gear such as tripods, monopods, sliders, glide cams, gimbals, and potentially drones for high production value. For audio and sound, we use professional grade lavalier microphones and audio recording units which allow us to get professional quality audio for all wedding vows and speeches given throughout your wedding day.
What is your overall philosophy/style of wedding cinematography?
